Global Connections Conference 2009Driven by the strapline The Evangelisation of the World in This Generation, the World Missionary Conference in Edinburgh 1910 was an epoch-making event to which many different mission movements trace their roots.

100 years on from Edinburgh, a Third Lausanne Congress will be held in Cape Town in October 2010 in collaboration with the WEA. A major difference will be that the 4,000 leaders attending will be drawn from more than 200 countries, representing incredible growth of Christianity in the non-Western world. Cape Town 2010 will address the critical issues of our time: other world faiths, poverty, HIV/AIDS and persecution, among others - as they relate to the future of the Church and world evangelisation.
