British Youth for Christ

Taking good news relevantly to every young person in Britain

A Youth for Christ evangelistic eventYouth for Christ (YFC) is a national Christian charity that was founded by Billy Graham in 1946. Working with around 200,000 young people each month, we draw alongside teens from every background and culture in Britain. Our staff and local volunteers specialise in working with unchurched youth: communicating and demonstrating the Christian faith.

Through over 65 Local Centres we tackle the real issues facing youth today, such as: family breakdown, binge drinking, bullying and self-worth. We do drop-in youth clubs, school lessons, social-action projects, and detached youth work on the streets.

Our unique approach to mission is to reach youth with youth. Through our year out programme we teach young people how to use their individual gifts to share their faith with their peers, placing volunteers in teams around Britain.Youth for Christ logo

Through ‘Reflex’ - our prison ministry - we invest in young people on the fringe of society, building their self-esteem and supporting them upon their release (helping them to find a place to live, a job, and a church).

We also equip over 1000 Churches to reach out to their local young people with relevant youth resources and evangelistic activity holidays.
