Our network is growing!

In the first three months of 2008, we were delighted to receive 12 new applications for membership from a mixture of agencies, churches and support services. We also had two training centres re-join us. A full list of our members can be downloaded using the link at the bottom of this page and you can see who has recently joined us by visiting our what's new section.

Why do organisations and churches feel it is important to be part of our network?

Just click on the links below to discover the benefits of membership, frequently asked questions, and to see the broad range of our upcoming forums and events. Furthermore, our recently updated Short-Term Mission Code of Best Practice has become the industry standard amongst those involved in organising short-term mission trips.

Our network is growing! Our network's aim is to put mission at the heart of the Church and the Church at the heart of mission in a way relevant to today's society in all its diversity. We do this by facilitating exchanges of ideas and experiences, providing access to the latest mission thinking, and directing our members to relevant resources and support. Believing that our network members need to be well managed to be effective, we have forums concentrating on HR, finance, and other admin issues in addition to those looking at front-line concerns.

what our members say...

"I think so much of the life of Global Connections happens in the forum context."

Stephanie Kraft, OC International

“The Global Connections network will not only link your local church to the combined experience of past and present mission workers but will also enable your church to participate in shaping the future face of missionary endeavour in the 21st Century."

Mike Frisby, Newfrontiers Church Leader
