There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned challenge and boy, did Jesus know how to give one. His disciples certainly lived an exciting life! So why is our Christianity often so uneventful? So easy? So WET? There MUST be more to living as a disciple of Christ than just easy listening on a Sunday!
For Heaven’s Sake is the perfect place to rediscover the ADVENTURE of following Christ. Meet with 6000 other mission-minded young people from all over Europe – disciples of all nations! Find out where God is working, and be inspired to get stuck in and get your hands dirty. Explore God’s world-mission landscape – and find out where he wants to send YOU!
Mission-net Director, Andy Juliff, writes:
"Welcome to Mission-net 2009 - For Heaven’s sake! This is the theme for Mission-net’s newest congress in 2009, and it promises to be one of the most significant European events devoted to the subject of mission. If you are interested in worshipping and learning together with over 6000 others from many other European countries, then this event is for you!"
"It will be a chance for you to grow in your faith, discover what God is doing in your country, continent and world, and to find your part in it!"
The Global Connections network is committed to this event and to encouraging those in the UK involved in youth leadership as well as our young people to make this event a high priority. Visit www.germancarpark.com for the latest information on what is happening in the UK in the run up to this event.

Mission-net, is a new initiative of the EEA and EEMA to encourage young people (16 to 25 age group) into mission across Europe. Over 100 Christian organisations are expected to host onsite exhibition stands, providing participants with a direct connection to a mission-centred lifestyle. Furthermore, outreach campaigns in conjunction with Mission-net will take place immediately after the event, providing opportunities to put theory into practice.
