Good orientation is a vital part of any short-term programme. Ann-Marie Wilson will be leading us as we consider how to equip our short-term volunteers adequately. The forum will include everything, from why and how we do orientation, to the tools we need to do it well.
Ann-Marie is a psychologist and training consultant who has spent over 25 years helping individuals, teams and organisations to be the best they can be. With a background in corporate life and her own consultancy firm, since 2004 she has worked in full-time mission. She spends up to 9 months overseas per year helping communities in Africa and Asia, and has worked for six overseas relief, rehabilitation or development agencies.
With a particular heart for women and the Muslim world, she is currently at All Nations Christian College, taking a degree in Biblical and Cross-Cultural Studies. She is a member of St Barnabas Church, Finchley, North London and sits on the boards of Medair, InterHealth Worldwide and People in Aid.
