Thinking Mission Forum

Thinking about Mission, and Mission that Thinks

Thinking Mission Forum

Who is it for?

This forum brings together anybody who wants to think missiologically about current events, issues and trends in the world. These would include academics, trainers and practitioners - all are welcome. Our aim is to grow and develop as reflective practitioners.

What is the focus?

To create a space where people can think openly and honestly about the issues being faced in mission today.

What issues have we covered recently?

This is a new forum and the first meeting was on 7 November 2007 which considered Colonialism and Manipulation: Partnership between the West and the Rest?

When do we meet?

We aim to meet twice a year as a forum and have an additional special event per year.

Do we meet virtually?

Not yet - but we will soon!

Who is the planning team?

The forum chair is Cathy Ross of CMS . The core planning group consists of Paul Davies (All Nations Christian College), John Kafwanka (Anglican Communion), Jonathan Ingleby (Redcliffe College - retired) Eddie Arthur (Wycliffe UK) and Rogelio Prieto-Duran (Latin Link).

The forum is administered by Jane Showell-Rogers of Global Connections.
