How can I get member reductions on events from the Global Connections website?
1. Make sure you are signed in as a member, then go to the Global Connections homepage, click on ‘Get involved’ and then ‘Network events’.
2. Choose the event that you are interested in. If you can’t see it, look at the area to the right of the page. The events for the ‘Next 6 months’ are listed, click on the downward arrow under ‘When’ to view events ‘This year’ or ‘Next year’
3. Once you are on the relevant event, click ‘Add to shopping basket.’ If this link is not accessible then you will need to complete the boxes on the page asking for information first before you can add it to your basket. If this button is not at the bottom of the page then this event cannot be purchased from the Global Connections website. However there should be a link to another website or a link in a box where you can send an email for more information, or download a booking form.
4. How to use the ‘Shopping basket’ page.
a. You can either click on the link to continue looking at events or go to the shop to browse items there. Add as many events or items from the shop to your shopping basket as you like. If you want to review your shopping basket later, click ‘Shop’ in the left side bar navigation and then ‘Shopping basket’ when it appears underneath the word ‘Shop.’
b. If you change your mind about any item, simply click ‘remove.’
c. To change the amount, delete the original number and type in a new digit in the ‘Quantity’ box and then tick ‘Update basket.’
d. When you are ready to buy the items, click on the words ‘Terms and conditions’ to read these and then tick the box next to this to confirm that youhave read these. If this box is not ticked you won’t be able to complete your purchase.
e. You are now ready to confirm the details and pay by clicking ‘Purchase items.’ If all your items were free then you will be directed to a page giving you a reference number and confirming that your purchase has been successful.
5. If you need to make a payment, you will be redirected to our online payment facility which is supported by Barclaycard Services and operated in a secure environment. Before making payment please check that a padlock icon appears on the bottom right of your screen and that the website address showing in your browser begins with 'https'. How can I get member reductions from the online shop?
1. Make sure you are signed in as a member, then go to the Global Connections homepage, click on ‘Shop’ and then go to the link at the bottom of the page for a full listing of Global Connections shop items.
2. To find out more about different products, click on the product name. You will be taken to a page focused on that product. You can either click ‘Continue shopping’ to return to the main list or ‘Add to shopping basket’ to purchase it. Alternatively from the full listings page you can click ‘Add’ to add the item directly to your shopping basket.
3. Once you have finished browsing, you will need to be in the shopping basket page. If you are not already there, click on ‘Shop’ in the left side bar navigation and then ‘Shopping basket’ when it appears underneath the word ‘Shop.’
4. To purchase the items, follow the instructions in points 4 and 5 in the section above.
