Who is it for?
For those churches and organisations involved in coordinating short-term mission programmes whether they are for a few weeks or a GAP year.
What is the focus?
Helping us become the best that we can be through network resourcing, information sharing, community building and practice improving. The network is also committed to promoting good practice by encourgaging members and others to use the Code of Best Practice in Short Term Mission.
What issues have we covered recently?

- How can short term trips be empowering rather than disempowering to local communities?
- Recruitment and team dynamics
- Trends in short-term mission from security issues to marketing and everything in between!
When do we meet?
We meet annually in the autumn for a 24-hour event. There are usually about 40 of us, most are from member organisations and churches but if you are not, you are still welcome to join us.
We also have a Facebook group called Global Connections Short-Term Mission Forum where members can ask questions, share and learn from each other’s experiences.
Who is on the planning team?
This forum is chaired by Jo Jowett (Global Connections). The other team members are Hilary Sprainger (Gold Hill Baptist Church), Charlotte Barker (Latin Link), Tim Herbert (Syzygy Missions Support Network), Ben Drabble (BMS), James Price (World Outreach), Krista Gilbert (Crosslinks) and Jane Showell-Rogers (Global Connections).
