Who is it for?

For those churches and organisations involved in coordinating short-term mission programmes.

What is the focus?

Helping us become the best that we can be through network resourcing, information sharing, community building and practice improving.

What issues have we covered recently?

  • Churches and agencies in short-term mission
  • Recruitment and team dynamics
  • Gift aid
  • Trends in short-term mission from security issues to marketing and everything in between!

When do we meet?

We meet annually in the autumn for a 24-hour event. There are usually about 40 of us, most are from member organisations and churches but if you are not, you are still welcome to join us.

Do we meet virtually?

We have a Facebook group called Global Connections Short-Term Mission Forum where members can ask questions, share and learn from each other’s experiences.

Who is on the planning team?

This forum is chaired by Jo Jowett (Christian Vocations). The other team members are Hilary Sprainger (Gold Hill Baptist Church), Alan Cutting (Samaritan's Purse), Stephen Johnson (CMS), Clare Luxton (Scripture Union), James Price (World Outreach) and Jane Showell-Rogers (Global Connections).
