Mission-Net Forum

For those working to mobilise young people into mission with a world focus

Who is it for?

Mission Net Logo 250pxThe forum brings together people from agencies and churches passionate about young people and developing initiatives to work together in creative ways.

The Forum has grown from what used to be the Youth and Children’s Forum. Mission-Net UK provides a new focus aimed at bringing up a new generation of proactively missional young people.

The Forum is linked to a European-wide initiative called Mission-Net. Mission-Net exists to bring young Christians together for mutual encouragement, teaching, training and mobilisation. It is primarily aimed at 16 - 30 year-old Europeans who are willing to consider living a Christian missional lifestyle which allies spiritual expressions of faith with practical contributions to the common good of society.

What is the focus?

Mission Net Worship 250pxIn the UK, the main focus is finding ways to mobilise the under 30’s into mission by promoting and creating the ‘movement’ aspect of the European Mission-Net.

One such initiative this May is GO!2012 - a mission festival focussing on and resourcing 18-30 year-olds. Click here to find out more about it.

In the longer term, the Forum aims to send young people to the Mission-Net Congress which takes place in Europe every two years.

Who is on the planning team?

The Chair is James Price (iNet and World Outreach). Other members are Steve Chedgzoy (OM), Nick Cole (OMF International UK), Dick Davies (WEC), Rachel Issitt (One Mission), Jo Jowett (Global Connections), Martin Lee (Global Connections) and Roxy Foulkes (Frontiers).
