Connect! Forum

Thinking creatively about mission

Connect! Forum

Who is it for?

This forum is for church leaders and others who are at the cutting edge and who can think out of the box about mission from, in and to the UK.

What is the focus?

The forum's main focus is based on three assumptions

  • The context of mission is changing fast because of globalisation, postmodernism and the growth of the global church
  • Churches should be at the centre of mission
  • There are new ways of doing mission

Most discussions concentrate of the implications of these three assumptions.

What issues have we covered recently?

The Survive or Thrive conference in 2003 raised some issues that have been taken up by Connect! and the Connect! books, published by Spring Harvest, have contributed to the discussion.

When do we meet?

The forum currently meets once a year in the Autumn for a 24-hour Connect! Conversation. Attendance is by invitation.

Who is the planning team?

The Chair is Tim Jeffery (Spurgeons Child Care). Other members include Paul Thaxter (CMS), Brian Jose (Radstock Ministries), Tony Kirk (OM), Bryan Knell (Global Connections) and Joe Kapolyo.
