Who is it for?
This forum brings together Chairs of Boards and Trustees of member agencies from both Global Connections and the Evangelical Alliance.
What is the focus?
The forum's main focus is for mutual support and understanding. It gives opportunity for discussion on issues relating to good governance, leadership, recruiting trustees, succession and charity law.
What issues have we covered recently?
Chair/CEO relationship; giving strategic direction to the organisation; governance in a changing world; handling transition from an entrepreneurial founder; key issues for charities from the Cabinet Report Private Action Public Benefit; responsibilities of the Chair of Trustees; induction process for trustees.
When do we meet?
The forum meets annually, usually in the autumn. Meetings start mid-afternoon and last until early evening and are held at Whitefield House.
Who is on the planning team?
The Chair of the forum is alternated between EA and Global Connections. The Planning Group is made up of Brian Adams (Counties), Roger Bellamy (FEBA), Andrew Gammie (INF), Jim Peck (Jubilee Centre), and Mike Smith (CRA).
