Mission Reps are primarily people who are appointed and authorised to promote global mission in UK churches. Some represent mission agencies and are employed full-time or part-time, while others work as volunteers. Some are responsible for a small area of the UK and others for a huge section.
'Reps' meetings in some parts of the UK also involve church representatives and church leaders. These are all people committed to furthering world mission. The various reps meetings around the UK have very differing structures, membership and operation. Some are open to anyone at any time while others require a membership and a joining fee, but all essentially exist to help promote global mission in UK churches.
Global Connections' continuous professional development course for those who represent mission in the churches of England, Being the Best, has now completed its first two year cycle. In 2010, we are running two training session in three venues across the country - London, Bristol and Sheffield. These sessions will focus on creative presentations and developing gifts respectively.
