Asian Mission Partnership Day - 16 June 2012

An opportunity to build partnerships for reaching South Asians in the UK (Jewels in His Crown / South Asian Forum)

This is free and there will be an opportunity to contribute towards the cost of the day, which is about £10 including an Indian lunch.

This is the third in our series of one-day conferences (previous events having been held in Harrow and Wolverhampton), for people involved in mission and ministry amongst South Asians in the UK. It will bring us together to share our experience and encourage each other in reaching out. This day is open to all who are involved in such outreach, whether from mainstream churches or South Asian churches or any others.

Each day will include:

  • Sharing by experienced practitioners of good practice in reaching South Asians with the Gospel
  • Opportunities for others to benefit from your own experiences, where relevant
  • Launch of new resources, including a booklet specially written for South Asian enquirers
  • Training in using the booklet and news about many other resources
  • Opportunity to meet others of all levels of experience and form partnerships for outreach

This event is being run as a joint collaboration between Jewels in His Crown and the South Asian Forum of the Evangelical Alliance.

Jewels in His Crown has many years of experience in running events with and for South Asians and those in ministry amongst them, all designed to facilitate networking, sharing of experiences, teaching and fellowship, with a view to enabling more creative ways of sharing the Good News of Jesus in the South Asian communities and valuing their contribution to Christian work in the UK.More background information, including the Mission Statement, can be found on the Jewels in His Crown website.

The newly formed South Asian Forum of the Evangelical Alliance has several overlapping aims in encouraging South Asians in the UK and so it was agreed to work together on a series of day conferences, particularly to launch the new booklet mentioned above.

See the Invitation Letter for more about the day.

Booking is essential, before 15 February – preferably online or alternatively using the postal booking form on the flier.
