Codes and Standards

One of our strategy aims is to raise standards through promoting good practice. Our motivation in raising standards is based on our desire that God is glorified in all that our members do. We also recognise the legal and moral responsibilities and obligations of our members ministries and the desire to serve staff, participants and partners in the best way possible.

Codes and guidelines One key area where a lot of work has been done recently is in the area of safeguarding children. These guidelines were updated in March 2012.

One of the most popular codes is the Short-Term Code of Best Practice. Many agencies go through peer review exercise every two years to help each other in running their programmes to the highest standard. Look out for the Code of Best Practice logo.

In response to the network's desire for further codes and guidelines and several Global Connections forums have been working on best practice papers relating to different areas of ministry.
