Global Connections is the operating name of the Evangelical Missionary Alliance (EMA). We are registered in England as Charity number 1081966; and as a Company Limited by Guarantee having no share capital (company number 3886596).
We are a membership organisation, allowing full membership and voting rights to charities registered or operating in the UK. These include mission agencies, Bible colleges, and churches as well as other ancilliary organisations. Our total membership figure currently exceeds 280. Our Council members are elected at our Annual General Meeting by representatives from our member organisations. Our Board of Directors is appointed from and by the Council membership. Our Council normally meets twice a year, and our Board of Directors four times a year.
Our Operations Director, Evan Winter, is also our Company Secretary.

As well as being responsible for governing our organisation, until October 2007 our Board members were also the Trustees of the EMA pension scheme - which is available to staff of our member organisations. However, in order to conform with new government legisaltion, a new body of trustees has now been elected for this purpose. Requests for information about our pension plans should be directed to our pension administrators Kingsworld Walder Ltd who, as registered members of the Financial Services Authority, are equipped to deal with such enquiries.
