Global Connections is the operating name of the Evangelical Mission Association (EMA). We are registered in England as Charity number 1081966; and as a Company Limited by Guarantee having no share capital (company number 3886596).
We are a membership organisation, allowing full membership and voting rights to charities registered or operating in the UK. These include mission agencies, Bible colleges, and churches as well as other ancillary organisations. Our total membership figure currently exceeds 280. In 2010 Christian Vocations merged with Global Connections and is now a ministry run under the network's umbrella. The name Christian Vocations has been retained as a trading name.
Our Council is elected at our Annual General Meeting and is made up of representatives from our network member organisations. Our Board of Directors is appointed by the Council. Our Council normally meets twice a year, and our Board of Directors four times a year.
Our Operations Director, Evan Winter, is also our Company Secretary.

Global Connections also administers the EMA pension scheme which is available to staff of our member organisations. However, in order to conform with government pension legislation, a separate body of trustees has been elected for this purpose and includes members of the pension scheme. Requests for information about our pension plans should be directed to our pension administrators Consortio Wealth Management who, as registered members of the Financial Services Authority, are equipped to deal with such enquiries.
